Well...baseball season is winding down for us. Roo is finished with his select season with the Bengals. They finished 8th in the State Tournament. I can honestly say that they went out with a bang. For the 2nd time, Roo got ejected from a baseball game. He was making his way to 3rd base and deciding to clear his baseline. I'm thinking he may need to try football but he is thinking baseball. Doug helped out the Bengals during the State Tournament coaching 1st base....he's awesome.

Bug has one more tournament and then All Stars will be done. They came in 2nd place in their first 2 tournaments and 6th in the State Tournament. He is starting to look like a catcher. He caught to foul balls over home plate this season.

I'm so proud of my boys. I love watching them do what they love. It will be hard to adjust not having to run to the fields after work.

Here is some pics of Roo (My #5)

Baseball Baseball & More Baseball

I LOVE watching my boys play ball. So when we found out that Bug was nominated for the 7 yr old All Star team, we were thrilled. This is where the fun started with running between fields that are in different towns. Roo plays for a Select team....Bug All Stars....same tournaments...different locations.

This past weekend was the Zeke Walley Tournament. Our boys were playing 15 minutes from each other. So it wasn't too bad to drive to catch all their games.

Roo's team - Bengals

The Bengals placed 3rd in their age division of the tournament. These guys play great until they have one bad play or call. Roo was pitching in the game that they were eliminated in. He did great. Had a sweet pick off to 2nd base. He hit a triple. But then he didn't slide coming home and put his shoulder into the catcher, knocking his mask off. Roo got ejected from the game.

Bug's team - Wild Hogs

The Wild Hogs finished 2nd in the tournament for their age group. These boys played great even in this heat.

Here is a pic from the press box during the Championship game. Wild Hogs are in the field. Bug is #10...our catcher.

Here is a pic of Doug and the boys after Bug received his trophy for runner up in the tournament.

Bug in May

Like his brother Roo, Bug has been on the baseball field. His regular rec team did great. They were 12-2 and won the League Championship game for their age group. Doug was his 1st base coach. They had so much fun.

Here is Doug helping him get his catcher gear on.

Roo in May

May 16th is when Roo's school held their annual 8th grade Rewind. Roo was nominated for 3 categories: Coolest couple with his girlfriend, Jessica; Most likely to ask a million questions; and Ladies man.

Drum roll please.......Roo got Ladies Man, to the dismay of his girlfriend.

Here is a pic of me with the 2011 FMS Ladies Man. (Note: he is pointing at his trophy)

Also the next day, the school held their usual awards day program. Roo got an Athletic Award. He had the 2nd highest batting average and the most doubles.

Here he is with his girlfriend at Awards Day.

Also, not only was it awards day on the 17th but it was also Roo's birthday. What did he get to do for his birthday?....3 hour tryouts for the High School team. All of his hard work paid off. A week later he found out that he made the team. Doug and I were excited for him.
