Can you really ever say that you had a great dentist visit? Not many people enjoy going to the dentist. However, for me this was a GREAT dentist visit today.
Here is some back ground....my now 7 year old hates (and I means hates) going to the dentist. He usually starts his assault before we even arrive. He hates having stuff in his mouth. Once there, he is usually crying and pushing them away when they try to do x-rays and clean his teeth. Our visit usually ends with everyone frustrated and me dragging him out of the office.
Today though was different. I'm not sure if he is finally maturing on this level or the fact that we were trying a new dentist. But we arrived this morning and he was fine, no temper, no crying, etc. He was called to one room while his brother to another. I go with Bug, assuming that this won't end well as in the past. He surprised me. He let them do the x-rays and clean his teeth without so much of a complaint. He did ball his fist occasionally but he made it through.
However, we didn't escape without him crying. Bug had his 1st cavity. Now being his first and not knowing what to expect.....he starts crying. Once they assured him that it was fine and it wouldn't hurt to fill it, he was fine and let them fill it without any numbing medication.
I was so proud of him. It was one of those times that I didn't want to take him back to school. Wish I could have kept him out all day and celebrated, but school comes first.

FUN FUN FUN
Weekends should really be longer than 2 days. We had so much fun hanging out with friends this weekend. We grilled and play the "Just Dance" game on the Wii. Videos are posted below.
